About CoreCivic
CoreCivic – the first of its kind – was founded in 1983. Our approach to public-private partnership in corrections combines the cost savings and innovation of business with the strict guidelines and consistent oversight of government. This has produced proven results for more than three decades.

CoreCivic designs, builds, manages and operates prisons, jails, detention centers and residential reentry centers on behalf of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the United States Marshals Service, many states and counties across the country.

We benefit America by protecting public safety, employing the best people in stable careers, preparing inmates for reentry, giving back to communities and bringing innovative security to government corrections – all while consistently saving hardworking taxpayers' dollars.

Who We Are
CoreCivic is committed to providing high quality, compassionate treatment to all those in our care.

We are committed to being a valued corporate citizen. As a leader in the corrections industry for more than 30 years, CoreCivic possesses an extraordinary responsibility to many stakeholders, including our government partners, the inmates in our care and the communities we serve.
Correctional and Detention Services
Correctional Services
When you join our correctional services team, you work with the local, state, and federal governments to provide high-quality correctional services and recidivism-reducing programs to help individuals rejoin their families and communities.

Detention Services
When you join our detention services team, you work to provide working solutions that meet the government's civil and criminal detention management needs with safe facilities that meet the unique needs of those in our care.
Health Services
Healthcare
When you join our correctional healthcare team, you have the opportunity to get back to what led you to this field to begin with: caring for people. Our health services team members find that they are able to spend more time caring directly for patients in an environment built on safety, have more predictable schedules, diminished administrative work and paid time off.

Our medical facilities are modern and well equipped. They allows us to offer healthcare and wellness checks to patients who may not have had regular healthcare in the past. We offer opportunities for all levels of medical professionals at our facilities to provide care for an at-risk population of patients to grow your clinical skills.

Professional Providers
Join our team as a doctor, dentist or psychiatrist health care professional. Unlike traditional healthcare systems, acute care is rare and short-term in Correctional Health Services. Routine tasks are eliminated and there is little to no on-call time.

All of this adds up to a place where you can focus on what brought you to health care in the first place: helping patients get the best care.
Community Corrections
Residential Services
When you join our team as a monitor at one of our residential reentry centers, you engage with residents who are either in the closing weeks of their sentence or have been assigned to the facility in place of prison or a jail sentence. Our centers provide a degree of freedom for work and other approved activities while still providing the support needed to get back on track.

When residents are not out searching for employment or at work, they may participate in a range of programs offered by trained professionals such as yourself, including job readiness, substance use disorder counseling and life skills programs.

As a team member at one of our residential reentry centers, you will connect residents with outside resources to assist with permanent housing, obtaining proper identification, and other critical needs that can present barriers to their reentry. With your help, residents can take the next steps to rebuild a life they can be proud of, one anchored by stability and hope.
Education and Programming
Academic Educators
When you join the team as an academic educator, you teach reading, writing, math and English as a Second Language (ESL) to those in our care. As in other educational settings, you will teach set curricula, develop lesson plans, lead class discussions, grade assignments and help students prepare for evaluation and testing.

Vocational Instructors
When you join our team as a vocational instructor, you are a skilled tradesperson who teaches building trades such as carpentry, electrical and small engine repair, plumbing, painting, masonry and maintenance, horticulture, food service, and office and computer skills.

Chaplaincy and Religious Services
When you join our team as a chaplain, you help facilitate a range of reentry programs. You make sure those in our care have a way to practice their faith. You enable secular life skills classes that help those address anger management and criminal thinking, and work with those in our care as they deal with issues such as grief.
