About Stannah
Our experience of the lift industry is virtually unsurpassed. In the 1860s, Joseph Stannah began making lifts to move ships'”‹ cargo, and today our business has expanded to cover all types of products and services to enable the movement of people and goods. Throughout this growth, we have maintained our reputation for honesty, integrity and commitment to quality that customers have come to expect across all our products.
Stannah 150
150 years and five generations on since Joseph Stannah started his business in the London docks and Stannah is still a business with lifting expertise at its core. Today, we are a diverse group with the aim of making life easier for people of all occupations and lifestyles. Whether this is a commuter getting from a platform to the concourse in a train station, a café owner sending hot food from a basement kitchen to the dining area, a warehouseman shifting goods from the storeroom to the shop floor or increasing access for disabled building users, wherever this may be.

Our 150th year is not just an opportunity for us to reflect on what we have achieved so far, but also to focus on continuing to thrive for the next 150 years. Innovation and continuous improvement will remain central the business, alongside the exploration of new markets and the development of our brand in both the commercial and domestic spheres as the lift company to rely on.

We offer a wide range of lift solutions to move people and goods. With nearly 50,000 installations across the UK and over 90,000 units on our service portfolio, we know we can help.
