Queensland Rail Australia

Queensland Rail, also known as QR, is a government-owned railway operator in the state of Queensland. Under the control of the Queensland Government, Queensland Rail operates the inner-city and long-distance passenger services, as well as some freight operations and gives railway access to other rail businesses.

Queensland Rail has been part of the Queensland landscape for over 140 years. In addition to supplying rail services to Queenslanders, Queensland Rail has also played a vital role in local communities by providing employment and economic support. With over six and a half thousand staff, six billion dollars in assets and eight thousand kilometres of track, Queensland Rail is a strong and powerful integrated customer and rail infrastructure business.
