This year we are celebrating an impressive 40 years on the high street delivering fashionable, beautiful, confidence-boosting hair from 55 salons across London and the South east.

To see in our 40th year we decided to put their salon staff centre stage by choosing twelve of them to feature in their annual brand image campaign.

Headmasters is what it is because of its people, says Creative Director, Andrew Barton. “so we wanted to put them right at the front for clients to see who we are and who makes it happen!”

The eight hundred strong hairdressing team from across the group were invited to apply to be in the photo shoot and a shortlist of thirty were invited to an X-factor style audition to choose the final twelve.

“It was incredibly difficult to narrow it down from thirty” says Barton “we wanted to have different stories and careers, and levels and from different salons with Headmasters and to really be our team heroes for the year “ .

The lucky final twelve attended a 2-day photoshoot with leading beauty and fashion photographer Jack Eames who created the most beautiful collection of portraits which will form the basis of the new campaign.

The first Headmasters salon opened in Wimbledon Village in 1982. With dedication & commitment to our core values of combining premium hairdressing & amazing service, Headmasters has grown into one of the UK’s biggest salon groups, consisting of 55 salons and 2 academies, employing over 700 Stylists, 200 Apprentices and 100 Front of House Team across London and Surrey.

This dedication to giving our clientele beautiful, confidence boosting hair means Headmasters salons have stood the test of time & are lucky enough to have an extremely loyal customer base.

Each year Over 1000 of the Headmasters team from their 57 salons and head office filled the Battersea Evolution to celebrate the past year of triumphs and achievements and creativity.

The Headmasters Awards comprised of seven awards for Business, judged on in-salon performance. Plus, five Creative photographic entries which are always hotly contested at Headmasters.

Mental Health in the UK is a huge issue, it’s estimated that 16 million people experience a mental health illness with 1 in 4 adults experiencing this each year. Headmasters have taken action and started a pioneering Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA) initiative with an aim to help stop the stigma that surrounds mental health and build a supportive culture for all Stylists in the Headmasters workplace.
