The Wainwright and District Savings and Credit Union Ltd. charter was signed on April 2, 1943 with 38 members and $12 in assets. Since then, we have experienced incredible growth and expansion (and a couple of name changes) and today Encompass Credit Union has approximately 8500 members and $500 million in assets.

Our Community Social Responsibility Investment Program (CSRIP) accepts applications from local, non-profit organizations for grants up to a maximum $10,000 per grant. Eligible groups come from all of the communities that our branches serve.
Relay for Life TeamOur Relay for Life team fund raises during the month of May with an annual Bake Sale, weekly hot lunches and an in house 50/50 draw. The teams participates in the annual Relay for Life walk, with members taking 2 hour walking shifts from 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm. All proceeds are donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Stampede BarbecueOur annual Barbecue is held during Wainwright's Stampede Week (3rd week in June). Proceeds from the barbecue are donated to a non-profit group in the community. The recipient group is nominated each year by our staff.
5 am Red Friday CrewOur annual Red Friday Breakfast happens on the first Friday in November in support of our military. All proceeds go to the Soldier on Fund.
Red Friday DonationThe Soldier On program is a Canadian Armed Forces program that help active and retired members overcome mental health or physical illness/injury through sport and physical activity.
