We aim to strengthen our communities and to be a valued contributor and neighbor. Our corporate giving program, Good Things Come in Trees, recognizes that community and sustainability are at the core of everything we do. Our business relies on a resource, and we understand the importance of taking care of what keeps us in business and our commitment goes beyond the forest. Canfor and its employees are active members of the communities where we operate and enjoy supporting great causes and events. In 2018 we contributed over $1.03 million to community causes through Good Things Come in Trees.
A highlight of our North American initiatives:
- Contributed $69,000 towards local youth sports and events.
- Donated $60,000 to three hospitals in Georgia that serve our operating communities.
- Supported the local food banks, the Salvation Army and Christmas Bureaus in each of our 29 operating
communities in Canada and in the United States during the 2018 holiday season.
- Raised $331,000 for the United Way in Canada, the organization is building strong and healthy
communities by helping kids, moving people from poverty to possibility and working to improve lives
locally.

For operations related roles, we invite hopefuls to attend an in-person interview and tour of the mill. The hiring process usually entails multiple interviews with managers, the regional manager and/or team members. This process can take upwards of 30 days and will depend on the role and requirements of the position.
