Marzetti Company was founded by Teresa Marzetti in 1896.

Our rich heritage started in 1896 when Italian immigrant Teresa Marzetti opened her first restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. She expanded her business in 1955 by building a salad dressing factory on the second floor, selling her dressings to customers and retail grocers in Ohio.
Our vision has remained true for over a century: bringing delicious food to the table and superior service to our customers and retail foodservice. In 1969, T. Marzetti was sold to Lancaster Colony Corporation, which has continued to deliver dividend growth to our shareholders.
