UFS is a mutual organisation, which means it is owned entirely by its members, not by shareholders. Any profits we generate are invested back into the company for the benefit of members, customers and the community.

Established as a friendly society in Ballarat 140 years ago, UFS Dispensaries is in fact one of the original social enterprises (UFS is an abbreviation for United Friendly Societies). Fast forward to today and we are still operating as a social enterprise, working to improve the health of our members, customers and the community.
